The Mexican Cultural Institute in partnership with Culinary Historians of New York present the book “How Gringos Stole Tequila: The Modern Age of Mexico’s Most Traditional Spirit”.
Chantal Martineau, author of the book, will join us at Octavio Paz Gallery to share the result of her many travels to tequila distilleries and agave plantations in Mexico, her research on both sides of the borders and interviews with leading experts and academics. Following the lecture we will offer a reception featuring samples of tequilas and mezcales with traditional Mexican antojitos prepared by the Culinary Historians of New York. Books will be available for sale.
