Mexican jazz singer Magos Herrera performs with her outstanding sextet and chamber orchestra The Knights to mark the release of her most recent album, Aire. Aire includes songs from the Great Latin American Songbook as well as brand-new compositions that Chamber Music America's New Jazz Works commissioned. A way to "reach out... to heal each other by coming together and celebrating our humanity with compassion and gratitude," Aire was mostly written during pandemic isolation and debuted with a free and open concert in Bryant Park followed by a meet and greet reception hosted at the Octavio Paz Gallery in the Consulate General of Mexico.
